Episode 3 | Safety as a daily value: the ISO 45001 system

Within Raffmetal’s sustainability journey, the social dimension translates into a concrete commitment to protecting the health and safety of the people working within the organisation. The adoption of the ISO 45001 certified management system represents one of the tools through which this commitment is structured and made an integral part of the industrial model.
The system makes it possible to integrate risk management, training, indicator monitoring and the continuous improvement of operating conditions, fostering a preventive and participatory approach to safety. This approach helps to spread a corporate culture based on awareness and shared responsibility.
As Eng. Mauro Bonomini, RSPP — Head of the Prevention and Protection Service — points out, ISO 45001 certification “makes it possible to systematise an approach to safety based on prevention, training and the involvement of people, which are essential elements for long-term sustainability.”
The operational contribution to system management is fundamental. Lia Alberti, Management System Manager, emphasises that “ISO 45001 is a tool that makes it possible to structure processes, monitor results and promote continuous improvement based on daily experience.”
The ISO 45001 system therefore represents an ESG safeguard that strengthens the social dimension of Raffmetal’s sustainability, helping to create safe workplaces, resilient organisations and an industrial culture founded on the centrality of people.
