Raw material

Raffmetal operates globally, working with over 1,800 suppliers to ensure the sourcing of high-quality materials.
Scrap, collected from across Europe, is procured through a well-established in-house commercial network.

Each incoming material is subject to rigorous checks and inspections to ensure quality and compliance with industrial standards.
By using technologically advanced plants for scrap selection, classification and chemical analysis, Raffmetal ensures that all processed materials are suitable for production needs—minimising the use of virgin natural resources and promoting sustainable manufacturing. This approach contributes to more efficient resource management, reducing environmental impact and supporting the circular economy.

Raffmetal recycles and valorises a wide range of aluminium scrap, including:

CLOSED LOOP

The Sales and Purchasing Management teams work in close collaboration on “closed loop” projects aimed at recovering production scrap directly from customers through a dedicated service.
This initiative not only reintegrates materials into the production cycle, but also optimises the chemical composition of the final alloy—supporting environmental sustainability and reducing waste and CO₂ emissions, both direct and indirect.
