Raffmetal awarded by Ferrari for the value of its SILVAL primary alloys from recycling
An award that confirms the company’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the competitiveness of the European aluminium supply chain

Raffmetal has received an important award from Ferrari for its work in developing the SILVAL 7 alloy, which guarantees 100% recycled aluminium with a third-party verified carbon footprint of less than 1 kg CO₂eq/kg Al from cradle to gate.
The high-performance SILVAL primary alloys from recycling, produced at the new Silval Special Alloys Plant launched in 2020, are designed to meet the technical requirements of the most advanced customers and contribute to the decarbonisation of industrial supply chains, providing concrete proof that performance and sustainability can grow together.
The award confirms the path Raffmetal pursues every day: transforming recycled aluminium into value by combining quality, innovation, and sustainability. Through its production process, the company is able to enhance aluminium scrap as a strategic raw material, reducing CO₂ emissions and energy consumption compared with traditional processes.
This recognition also highlights the role of the supply chain: keeping aluminium scrap in Europe means preserving expertise, competitiveness, and industrial capacity, while strengthening the manufacturing excellence of Made in Italy and Made in Europe.
For Raffmetal, doing business sustainably means creating tangible value for customers, partners, local communities, and the European manufacturing system. This commitment brings together efficiency, responsibility, and innovation, contributing to the development of a more circular, competitive, and low-emission industrial future.
